Household mixed waste and green waste
This covers most home clean-ups and garden jobs. Typical examples:
- General household rubbish
- Old furniture, such as couches, tables and shelving
- Household clean-out waste from garages, sheds and spare rooms

Builders and renovators waste
Builders & Renovators bins are for renovation and construction waste. They include up to 14 days of hire. Typical examples:
- Renovation and construction offcuts
- Timber
- Plasterboard
- General site waste
Tree stumps are not accepted in Builders & Renovators bins. Weight limits may also restrict how much concrete, tiles, bricks, blocks or sand can go in.

Roof tiles, bricks and concrete
Heavy materials are a separate category with restricted volumes. A small amount of rubble weighs a lot, so a bin can reach its limit while it still looks half empty.
Contact the team before booking for roof tiles, bricks, concrete, blocks or sand. They will help you work out a sensible amount for the bin. The heavy materials page has more detail.
Mattresses and bed bases
Mattresses and bed bases are accepted. They are charged at $42 per item, in addition to the bin hire. Mention them in your booking request so the team knows what to expect.
Loading tips
- Break down furniture and flatten boxes so they pack tightly.
- Put heavy, flat items in first and lighter waste on top.
- Keep everything level with the rim. Overfilled bins cannot be transported.
- Keep prohibited items separate from the start so they do not end up in the bin.
