When Another Size Makes More Sense
Step down to the 4m³ skip bin if the job is a single room or a moderate clean-up. It has lower 0.9 m sides and includes 600 kg.
Step up to the 8m³ skip bin if you think you will run out of room. It sits on exactly the same 3.5 m × 1.5 m footprint, so it needs no more ground space. The trade-off is height: 1.6 m sides instead of 1.2 m, so you lift waste higher to get it in. It includes 1,000 kg.

Access and Placement
- The 6m³ is 3.5 m long and 1.5 m wide. It is slightly narrower than the 3m³ and 4m³, which can help on narrow driveways, but it needs more length.
- Allow clearance around the bin and overhead for the truck arms, especially under carports, trees and overhead wires.
- The 1.2 m sides are a comfortable height for loading by hand. Leave a clear path to the open side so you are not carrying waste around obstacles.
- Pick a level, stable surface and mention any access restrictions in your booking notes. Placing on a road or verge? Council rules and fees can change. Always check the current council requirements before arranging placement on public land.
