When Another Size Makes More Sense
Step down to the 6m³ skip bin if you want lower sides. It sits on the same 3.5 m × 1.5 m footprint, with 1.2 m sides instead of 1.6 m, and includes 800 kg. If you are loading everything by hand, the lower sides make a real difference.

Access and Placement
- The 8m³ is 3.5 m long and 1.5 m wide, the same footprint as the 6m³. If a 6m³ fits your site, the ground space for an 8m³ will too.
- At 1.6 m high, it stands taller than the other sizes. Allow extra thought for overhead clearance for the truck arms, and for eaves, branches and wires above the bin.
- The higher sides make loading harder. Plan a safe way to lift waste in, and never stack material above the rim.
- Use a level, stable surface and record any access restrictions in your booking notes, such as tight gates, steep driveways or shared access.
