The 4m³ skip bin suits mid-sized household jobs: a bathroom strip-out, moving house, or a solid clean-up across a few rooms. It is $580 including GST, with 600 kg included and up to 7 days' hire for general waste.
It is the largest of our small skip bin hire options. The sides are only 0.9 m high, so it is easy to load by hand, and the extra length over the 3m³ gives you room for bulky items like furniture and cabinets.

Bathroom strip-outs
Vanities, shower screens, fittings and wall linings. Tiles are heavy, so keep an eye on weight and ask the team if there is a lot of tile or screed to remove.
Moving house
Clear out the things not worth moving before the truck arrives, or deal with leftovers after you settle in. Mattresses are accepted at $42 per item.
Home renovations in stages
A room-by-room renovation or a kitchen refresh. Book a Builders & Renovators bin if the waste is mainly renovation material and you need longer on site.
Residential clean-ups
A mix of household rubbish, old furniture and garden waste from a bigger tidy-up around the house and yard.
When Another Size Makes More Sense
Step down to the 3m³ skip bin if space is tight. It has the same 0.9 m height but is 0.8 m shorter, at 2.4 m long. It suits smaller tidy-ups and includes 450 kg.
Step up to the 6m³ skip bin if the job covers the whole house or a big yard clean-up. The 6m³ is only a little longer, at 3.5 m, and a touch narrower, at 1.5 m wide. Its sides are higher at 1.2 m, and it includes 800 kg.
For bricks, concrete, tiles, blocks or sand, weight usually runs out before space does. Check the heavy materials page and contact the team before you book.
Access and Placement
- The 4m³ is 3.2 m long and 1.6 m wide. Measure your driveway or placement area, and remember it is 0.8 m longer than the 3m³.
- Allow clearance around the bin and overhead for the truck arms. Carports, gutters, trees and overhead wires can all get in the way.
- Place it on a level, stable surface where it can sit flat for the hire period and be lifted cleanly at collection.
- Add any access notes to your booking request, such as gate widths, steep entries or shared driveways, so the team can confirm the drop spot with you.

Can I put bathroom tiles in a 4m³ bin?
Tiles are heavy, so a bin can reach its weight limit before it looks full. For a small amount, it is usually a matter of watching the weight. For a full floor or wall of tiles, contact the team before you book. See skip bins for heavy materials.
What happens if I go over the included weight?
Excess weight is charged over and above the bin price. Published rates are $38.00 per 100 kg for builder mixed waste and $23.00 per 100 kg for green waste. Contact the team if you expect a heavy load.
Is the 4m³ available as a builders bin?
Yes. The 4m³ Builders & Renovators bin is $380, with up to 14 days' hire. Weight limits may restrict concrete, tiles, bricks, blocks and sand, and tree stumps are not accepted.
Can I fill the 4m³ above the top?
No. Bins must not be filled above the rim. Transporting an overfilled skip bin is an offence, and an additional fee of $80 may apply to overfilled bins.
