Booking and hire
How long can I keep the skip bin?
General waste includes up to 7 days' hire. Builders waste includes up to 14 days' hire. Additional hire is $20 per day after the included hire period.
How do I book a skip bin?
Call 0487 360 094 or email info@ozzieskiphire.com.au, or send a booking request through this website. We are open Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm and Saturday 8:00am to 12:00pm, and closed Sundays and public holidays.
Does sending the online form confirm my delivery?
Not on its own. The form sends us a booking request. The team then checks availability for the day you want and comes back to you to confirm the bin, the delivery details and anything else you need to know. If you need a bin urgently, calling is quickest.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm, Saturday 8:00am to 12:00pm, and closed Sunday and public holidays.
Bins and sizes
Which skip bin size do I need?
We hire four general waste sizes. The 3m³ at $490 suits small household clean-ups and garden waste. The 4m³ at $580 is a practical all-rounder for renovations and moving house. The 6m³ at $720 steps up for larger clean-ups and bulky waste. The 8m³ at $880 suits the biggest jobs needing greater capacity. If you are not sure, contact the team and we will help you choose.
What are the bin dimensions and included weights?
The 3m³ is 2.4 m long × 1.6 m wide × 0.9 m high with 450 kg included. The 4m³ is 3.2 m long × 1.6 m wide × 0.9 m high with 600 kg included. The 6m³ is 3.5 m long × 1.5 m wide × 1.2 m high with 800 kg included. The 8m³ is 3.5 m long × 1.5 m wide × 1.6 m high with 1,000 kg included. Allow a little clearance around the bin and overhead for the truck arms.
Can I fill the skip bin above the rim?
No. Skip bins can only be filled up to the rim and must not be overfilled. Transporting an overfilled skip bin is an offence, and an additional fee of $80 may apply if bins are filled above the rim.
Are there weight limits on heavy materials?
Yes. Weight limits in our 3m³ and 4m³ Builders & Renovators bins may restrict the amount of concrete, tiles, bricks, blocks and/or sand that can be placed in the bin. Contact the team before booking if your load includes these materials.
What goes in the bin
What can I use the bins for?
Pricing categories cover household mixed waste and green waste, builders and renovators waste, and roof tiles, bricks and concrete. Choose the correct waste type when booking so we send the right bin.
What items are not allowed in the skip bins?
Fluorescent lights, asbestos, tyres, chemicals, paint, batteries, hazardous waste and oils are strictly not allowed in any skip bin. Tree stumps are also not allowed in Builders & Renovators bins.
Are mattresses and bed bases allowed?
Yes. Mattresses and bed bases are charged at an additional $42 per item.
Are there extra charges if I go over the included weight?
Yes. For builder mixed waste, $38.00 per 100 kg is charged over and above the cost of the skip bin. For green waste, $23.00 per 100 kg is charged over the included weight.
